FAQs

What's your fee?

My fee is £65 for a 50 minute session.

I have some lower-cost spaces for those unable to pay the standard fee. If a lower fee would make therapy accessible for you, you’re welcome to ask.

I review my fees annually.

What's the first step?

Taking the first step in seeking help can feel daunting. You might be nervous about coming to therapy, so I aim to give you as much information as possible so you know what to expect.

With this in mind, when you first contact me I offer a free, no-obligation, short 20 minute phone call – this is an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what brings you to therapy, and to talk logisitics. You can book this call by filling in the secure form below or emailing me at .

What sort of therapy do you offer?

As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of psychotherapeutic theories to support you moment-by-moment. You’ll find elements of the below approaches in much of my work:

What sort of training do you have?

I am a trained and qualified integrative counsellor. I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Europe’s leading integrative psychotherapy institute – The Minster Centre in London.

Any counsellor or therapist you work with should have adequate training, and should be registered with a professional body and follow their ethical code. I’m a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and follow their ethical framework.

When are you available?

I work from The Eaves in Farnham on Tuesday evenings.

In-person and online sessions are available at other times during the daytime, Monday to Thursday.

Please get in touch to find out my current availability.

What will happen when we first meet?

If it feels right and we have matching availability, I will offer a first assessment session. I’ll send you a confirmation email with the date, time, and location.

This is a chance for us to meet, and for you to get a feel for how I work. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is integral and it’s important we feel we’d work well together.

In this session I will ask more specific questions than I would in a usual session. The reason for that is that is to help me understand more about what is bringing you to therapy and what you want to focus on. I’ll ask about your life history and your current set-up. I’ll also ask if you’ve had any therapy before - what was helpful, what was less helpful. We can talk through how I work, and I can answer any questions you might have.

This process is for both of us. You will want to see if I’m the right ‘fit’ for you as a counsellor. I will also be thinking about whether I have the right sort of training and experience to best support you.

Based on this conversation, we will agree whether we will start working together. If we proceed, we will set a date and time for weekly sessions.

Where do you see your clients?

My in-person practice is based at The Eaves in Farnham, see Contact & Location

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes. I offer online therapy to adults across the UK. Sessions take place via a secure video platform and are 50 minutes.

While traditional face to face counselling is often considered preferable, and on-line counselling may not be suitable for everyone, on-line technologies like Zoom have made counselling accessible to everyone. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. If you would like to speak with me on-line, please get in touch at .

How many therapy sessions will I need?

There is no set rule, this is something we can decide between us. I offer sessions on an open-ended basis or for a set time. People come to therapy for different lengths of time, at different points in their lives. Some find 8-12 sessions helpful, others prefer to work in an open ended way.

If we do work together on an open-ended basis, I incorporate reviews into our sessions to ensure you are getting what you need from therapy, and typically do these every 6-8 sessions.

Is everything I say in therapy confidential?

Therapy is confidential except in the specific circumstances:

  • You are at risk of harming yourself or others
  • If there is a risk to a child or vulnerable person
  • You disclose knowledge or involvement in acts of terrorism or money laundering
  • To fulfil legal requirements e.g. if court ordered
  • In a medical emergency

Wherever possible, any intention to share information with external agencies (such as your GP) will be discussed with you first, so long as I believe it safe to do so.

All client records are protected by the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act and no client information is shared with any third party.  Again any exceptions to this policy would occur only where necessary to protect the safety of clients or others.
